Unicoms Switzerland is looking for an experienced Finance Manager who will act as a trusted finance leader ensuring the high quality of financial accounting and reporting and optimal allocation of resources

Financial Manager

Key responsibilities:

  • Lead and supervise all financial and accounting activities of the company.
  • Prepare, analyze, and manage budgets and financial reports;
  • Provide timely, accurate, and insightful financial management information and advice to support decision making.
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies, local legislation, and requirements of Bulgarian regulatory authorities.
  • Liaise with external institutions – National Revenue Agency, auditors, banks, and others.
  • Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures in accordance with company standards and legal requirements.
  • Prepare documents for annual financial closing and submit them to Bulgarian tax, insurance, and statistical authorities.
  • Represent the company before state institutions, auditors, and banks, providing necessary documents and references during inspections.
  • Evaluate financial risks and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Optimize financial processes and manage cash flows, receivables, and payables.
  • Identify inefficiencies in financial operations and implement improvements.
  • Lead and develop a team of professionals.

Requirements:

  • University degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in a similar positio
  • Deep knowledge of IFRS and Bulgarian tax/VAT legislation.
  • Excellent command of English (written and spoken).
  • Excellent skills in MS Office (Excel, Power Query, Power BI).
  • Professional certifications (CPA, ACCA, CIMA) are an advantag
  • Experience with consolidation tools is an advantage.
  • Ability to manipulate, analyze, and model large volumes of data; proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to influence management and non-finance teams.
  • Ability to work independently and effectively as part of a team.
  • Initiative, responsibility, and ability to make independent decisions.
